Wellington Country Park

Nyah, mum and I headed off to Wellington Country Park yesterday to me Sarah, Luc and Sarah's mum-in-law for a day out. The weather was wet and overcast but we didn't let that put us off - as Sarah said if you waited for a sunny day in England you would never go anywhere!

We took a picnic and sat in the nice cafe to eat it before wandering round and watching Nyah and Luc get covered in mud! They were filthy by the time we left and I don't think I will ever get Nyah's clothes clean but she has so much fun it doesn't really matter.

They had a clown show as well which the kids loved, even though they were a little hesitant at first. It went on for ages so we didn't see the whole thing through but Luc got a nice balloon and they enjoyed watching all the kids doing funny things.

Both Luc and Nyah also had their first ever face painting and sat so still for the woman we couldn't believe it. They looked so cute as little tigers and loved their faces.

It was a really nice day out and will be even better in the summer when the sun is shining and everything is dry.

DAN'S BIRTHDAY

My poor old man turned 31 on the 17th Feb and to celebrate we headed down to the New Forest for a few days just the 3 of us. The weather was wet and overcast but otherwise OK and we had a pretty good time. We didn't do much apart from rest but we did go to the seaside on Sunday. We parked at Boscombe and then took a slow walk into Bournemouth for lunch at Harry Ramsdens which was nice. We then caught the little land train back to the car as Nyah was way to tired to walk back.

Dan had a nice birthday and got some cool pressies including a digital photo frame, clothes, cash and a freeview TV box.

All in all we had a good weekend and returned home on the Sunday. On the Monday we both had the day off work and took Nyah to Coral Reef for a swim - she loved it and had great fun splashing Dan!
BYE BYE KIM, WILL & JAMIE
How sad, our good friends, the Eijpens, have left to start their new life in sunny California. We are all going to miss them so much and hope to be able to pop out to see them when we have saved enough pennies!

Before they left we got together with them to have a farewell lunch. Sarah, Luc, Greg and Jackie also came along which was lovely. It was quite emotional with gifts being given, Kim and the gang gave us a great photo frame with pics of the kids in it which will take pride of place at Arnold Road when we finally move!
The Eijpens left on the 7th Feb and we have been sending emails back and forth since. We are really pleased that they have taken to their new life so well and have managed to find the house of their dreams. We wish them all the luck and happiness in the world and will always have room for them when they come back to visit.
