Sickness & Potty Training....
For those of you who dont know I have been quite ill the last couple of week with a horrid stomach bug & ear and throat infection. Dan had the same thing about a month ago now and Nyah had it for three weeks - the tests they did on Nyah showed something called Crypto Spiridium which is a type of poisoning you get from non-filtered water or 'standing' water - nice huh ? Luckily she is fine now and I am on the mend thank goodness. I get my blood test results on Friday - they were testing for anemia so we will see what they say.
Anyway, as I was signed off work for a week I decided to start the whole potty training process and Nyah is doing really well - day 1 - 2 wee's in the potty - day 2 - 7 wee's in the potty and day 3 - 9 wee's in the potty and she actually started to tell me when she needed to go. Day 4 has started well with 2 wee's already and it is only 8.30am! We are really proud of her and hope she will be almost trained by the end of the week.
Potty training got a little intense yesterday so we popped to Starbucks for a drink and cookie and I was really hoping Kim would pop through the door to meet us - it was quite weird as that was the first time I have been there since Kim left - we all really miss them and I could of really done with a chat / gossip.
As for the house - there is still correspondence flying back and forth but the solicitors say we could still be in by the 2nd week in May so fingers crossed. Mum and dad have hired a skip this weekend to start clearing the house which is fab so we are going down Saturday to help - the quicker they get out the quicker we get in!
Anyway, best get back to the potty training, the joys of toddlers huh!

This Weeks Update
Ok, so Steve went back to Frimley last Wednesday only to be told that after reviewing his X-Rays he would now need surgery to have a metal plate put into his shoulder - the plate would be removed after 6 months. Steve had this done the Saturday just gone and stayed in over night and now is back home having mum wait on him hand and foot - typical bloke!
As for me, I have been off work this week (signed off by Dr). Got test results back today and Nyah and I have something called Kryptosyridium (not sure how it is spelt). It is a type of poisoning you get from drinking 'standing water' or un-filtered water. Dr says there are sometimes small outbreaks of this when Thames Water do not filter the tap water correctly! Nyah and I have been feeling horrible and could even be off work next week to - it takes 4-5 weeks to leave our systems but symptoms should fade after a couple of weeks. Dan was ill with this kind of thing a few weeks ago so he probably started it all!
House move is going well we are into contract enquires now and then onto sign contracts - we are going down to our new house this weekend to start on the garden and get mum and dad to start emptying the sheds etc. I think they think they can just leave all their rubbish so I am going to make sure it is done!

Update on Steve

Steven went back to Frimley Park today to have his temporary arm cast removed and a new one fitter. Whilst there they reviewed his x-rays and decided he needs surgery to place a metal plate in his shoulder for 6 months as the break to his collar bone is so bad - the x-rays are scary!

Steve should go in for surgery sometime before next Monday and they will call to let him know when. Bless him, he is in loads of pain but still deserves no sympathy as he shouldn't have been drinking and dirt boarding in the first place - WALLY!

Picture 1 as the Clavicle should be - Picture 2 how the Clavicle should not be - OUCCHHHH!

Easter Weekend

Ok, so what a disaster! First of all Dan comes down with a stomach bug on Wednesday and is off work Wednesday and Thursday - his bug cleared up Saturday. Nyah came down with the same bug on Friday and is still not 100% so Friday, Saturday and Sunday were spent in doors despite the gorgeous weather. Sunday night I get a call from my brtohers (Steven's) girlfriend to say they are on their way to Frimley Park A & E as Steve fell of his dirt-board and knocked himself out! Off I go to see him and after 4 hours we emerge from the hospital - Steven with a broken collar bone and wrist and all bandaged up - the weekend was a nightmare but we did have a nice lunch at Dan's dads on monday and a BBQ in the evening at my mums.
