Meet the New Members of the Collins Household...

We have kittens!

Dan and I brought Nyah 2 kittens and had them waiting for her when she came back from her weekend at nanny and grandads. Nyah went made and has fallen head over heels in love with them. Nyah has named them Charlie (black and white boy) and Lola (tabby girl). They are adorable and so well behaved they have settled in really well.

Paultons Park - 17th June 2007
What a fab day! We met up with Sarah, Nick, Luc and Victoria for a day at Paultons Park in Hampshire. Bob the Builder, Wendy and Spud were performing so how could we miss it!
We all arrived there about 10.30am and didn't leave until 4pm - the kids had so much fun it was great to see their faces on all the rides. Both Luc and Nyah had a go on their first roller-coaster and water ride and they loved them both asking to go on again. The Bob the Builder show was really good and the kids had so much fun singing along and shouting 'panto style' at Bob.

The weather was a bit naff and wet until after lunch when the sun came out but it didnt ruin our day at all.

Pizza with Sarah

Me and Nyah met up with Sarah and Luc today which was fab. We haven't seen each other for a couple of months now and it was lovely to have a girly gossip and a catch up.

We went off to Pizza Hit which the kids loved and then into town for a bit of retail therapy. Best bit of all was Nyah did it all with no nappy on! The first time I have tried a proper trip out with no nappy and she was fab - the whole few hours was ruled by where the nearest toilet was but Nyah did really well and we had no accidents at all. As a reward we went off to the ELC and came out with a new PINK garden tool set and broom for her to use in our new garden.

We Are Moving......Yippee!

We have agreed with mum and dad that we will move into our new house over the bank holiday weekend and we can't wait. We can't wait for the solicitors any longer they take far too long!

We are so excited although there now seems to be loads to arrange and not a lot of time to arrange it in. Nyah can't wait to move and says our house we live in now is stinky and boring - how funny! I think she is just looking forward to getting into the big garden myself.

On another topic, Nyahs potty training is going really well - she spent 5 consecutive hours in just knickers this morning with no accidents which is fab - we even popped out in the car without a nappy and she was fine - we are so impressed and she thinks she is amazing which is funny especially when she stands up and shouts tah-dah whenever she gos on the loo.

Anyway will update again soon in between packing and panicking!

By the way, I got my Tiffany earrings and they are sooooooooooooo nice I am so spoilt!

Another year older.....
Well as birthday's go this one was not bad at all, despite having to go to work and Dan being on call I got some lovely presents - Dan spoilt me with the new Ipod Shuffle, paid for me to have my hair done and took me out for dinner, Nyah bought me a lovely bunch of flowers, I got some new gardening stuff for the new house from mum and dad, some designer mugs (yes mugs!) from Lin and John to go on my welsh dresser in the new house, money and other bits a pieces. I am also reliably informed I have a pair of Tiffany earrings heading my way from Kev and Alex so I will have to wait for them.
Mum cooked me a lovely dinner on my birthday a and topped it off with a frozen cheesecake - and yes it was still frozen when she served it - typical of my mum!
Thanks to everyone for all my lovely cards.

Mum's Birthday
My mum was 60 yesterday and to celebrate me, Dan and Kevin hired a boat for the day and took mum for a lazy day on the Thames. It was a surprise for mum and she was thrilled. Obviously me, Dan and Nyah went along with mum and dad, Kevin, Steven, Suzie and Alex. It was fab although the weather could have been a little warmer. It was dull and overcast most of the day and then at 3pm when we started to head back the sun came out - typical!
We started off in Datchet and went all the way along to Staines, we stopped for a picnic and then slowly headed back - it was a great day. Nyah freaked when she first saw the boat and started screaming she was not getting on but after twenty minutes or so it was hard to get her off it - feeding all the passing ducks helped.
Mum is now officially a pensioner and we love winding her up about it.

Sickness & Potty Training....
For those of you who dont know I have been quite ill the last couple of week with a horrid stomach bug & ear and throat infection. Dan had the same thing about a month ago now and Nyah had it for three weeks - the tests they did on Nyah showed something called Crypto Spiridium which is a type of poisoning you get from non-filtered water or 'standing' water - nice huh ? Luckily she is fine now and I am on the mend thank goodness. I get my blood test results on Friday - they were testing for anemia so we will see what they say.
Anyway, as I was signed off work for a week I decided to start the whole potty training process and Nyah is doing really well - day 1 - 2 wee's in the potty - day 2 - 7 wee's in the potty and day 3 - 9 wee's in the potty and she actually started to tell me when she needed to go. Day 4 has started well with 2 wee's already and it is only 8.30am! We are really proud of her and hope she will be almost trained by the end of the week.
Potty training got a little intense yesterday so we popped to Starbucks for a drink and cookie and I was really hoping Kim would pop through the door to meet us - it was quite weird as that was the first time I have been there since Kim left - we all really miss them and I could of really done with a chat / gossip.
As for the house - there is still correspondence flying back and forth but the solicitors say we could still be in by the 2nd week in May so fingers crossed. Mum and dad have hired a skip this weekend to start clearing the house which is fab so we are going down Saturday to help - the quicker they get out the quicker we get in!
Anyway, best get back to the potty training, the joys of toddlers huh!
